Terms of sale

Products on this site are sold by Guillaume Geneste, trading as The Gentleman's Gear, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (ABN 67 749 917 750). Contact: hello@thegentlemansgear.com.

All prices are in Australian dollars. The business is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged or shown. Payment is taken by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, or by bank transfer. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on this site.

An order is accepted when payment has cleared and you receive the order confirmation email. If a pricing or stock error slips through, I'll contact you before dispatch and you can cancel for a full refund.

Parts are made in small batches. Stock shown on the site is live; when a batch sells out, the product page says so and you can register interest for the next one.

Each product page lists the models it fits and the ones it does not. It is your responsibility to check fitment before ordering — and I'm happy to help: email a photo if you're unsure. Parts must be installed according to the supplied guide, using the supplied hardware, and checked as described in the guide after installation and periodically thereafter.

Parts are designed with Australian road-use requirements in mind and use E-marked lighting components where lighting is involved. They are small-batch parts from an independent engineer and have not been laboratory tested or ADR-certified. Requirements differ between states and territories, and compliance of the vehicle as modified remains the owner's responsibility. Check the rules that apply where you ride.

To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, liability for any loss arising from incorrect installation, modification of the part, use outside the stated fitment or configuration, or failure to carry out the recommended checks, is excluded.

Custom work is quoted separately in writing, with its own scope, price and timeline. Nothing on this site is an offer to undertake custom engineering until a written quote has been accepted.

If you send photos of your installed part, I may ask to use them on this site or on social media. I'll only do so with your permission, and I'll credit you the way you prefer.
